This is a wonderful community building event and also a fundraiser for our various organiza-tions. This family-friendly evening is always lots of fun.
This year our own Groovin DJ, Tony and Amanda Trippi, will provide music along with special enter-tainment by our 10:00 choir Barber Shop group in the gym and RYAN will perform in the Youth Room! There will be floats and our participants will vie for the coveted 'Cap'n Creole' trophy, which will be awarded to the best Booth and Spirit Krewe! Come enjoy lots of good food, games, balloon animals and face painting!!!

Our largest fundraiser of the year is coming up on October 15th. Our fundraising committee is working hard collecting donations for the silent auction at the Gala. This year's location is Cafe Amore just west of Willow Bend Mall. The cost is $20/person, which gets you a four course meal and unlimited mimosas. We will have great goodies for everyone there as well as door prizes. We do need a head count for both the restaurant and myself before the actual event, so I will be collecting money to reserve your spot. I will take cash or checks made out to Mothers & Others. I will be at the April meeting, book club and Bunco. I am also up at Seton's Ark for dropoff/pickup every Tuesday and Thursday.
If you have never been to this event, it is my favorite one of the year! It is the one time we leave the kiddos behind to pamper ourselves and enjoy the great company of the other moms. I have attached the menu so everyone can get an idea of food choices, etc. Cafe Amore Menu

We are going to have an ornament exchange. If you would like to participate, please bring a new, wrapped $5 ornament. We will play a fun game and everyone who brings an ornament will take one home. Also, if you are a coffee drinker bring your favorite mug. We are also going to do a recipe exchange. I don't know about everyone else, but I (and my family) get tired of eating the same things every week. If you want to participate, please bring your favorite recipe on a 3x5 card and we will make copies for everyone to take home.

She has over 20 years experience as a professional interior designer and specializes in developing the client's individual design into an aesthetically pleasing environment. She will be speaking on Holiday Decor for Less and Interior Design on a Budget.
Our collection for November will be for Plano Children's Medical Clinic. There will also be a representative there to speak to us.

Summer is coming to an end and school is back in session so join us for our first meeting of the 2010-2011 year. We will have lots of fellowship and fun.
If you need babysitting, please contact Jasmine McCormick (boricuaindallas2005@yahoo.com) no later than Friday, September 10th to reserve your spot. (The pre-payment fees are $6.00 for the first child, $4.00 for the second child, and $3.00 for each additional child, for babysitting at each meeting. Members are encouraged to prepay. Prepayment provides automatic reservations and, if prepaid by the September meeting, then the month of September is free. If you pay monthly by the Friday before the meeting, the rate is a flat $6, and $10 if you pay at the door. First time visitors are given the pre-payment rate ($6, $4, and $3) and allowed to pay at the door. Children may be dropped off for babysitting after 9:15 a.m. and must be picked up no later than 12:00 p.m. Babysitting fees are non-refundable.)
Also, make sure that you sign up to bring something for breakfast on the drop down box.
